Abstract
Curiosity drives a person to do things that will either benefit or harm his body and well-being. Sometimes the force to do more harm than a good makes him defy reason or willpower as he indulges in, for example, dangerous drugs. But being curious about the effects of drugs in his life is just one reason he and thousand other teenagers and young adults use drugs.
" The most common reason teenagers and young people start using drugs is peer pressure,'' says Undersecretary Dionisio R. Santiago, executive director of the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB). ''The need to be accepted by their peers is of greater importance among youth in every activity that are being undertaken by them. In addition, many young people try drugs because they are curious about the effects."
